Park Fest at Bread Lock Park: Warren County Parks is hosting its 3rd Annual Park Fest at Bread Lock Park, a free day of music, art, history, literature and more! The event is June 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Bread Lock Park along the Morris Canal in Stewartsville. For more information visit the Facebook event page.
Canal Day: The Canal Society of New Jersey is hosting its annual Canal Day at Waterloo Village on Saturday, June 22. The Canal Society's museum at Waterloo will open for the season and will be open to the public every Saturday through September 28. Morris Canal Inclined Planes, Ledgewood: The Canal Society of New Jersey is hosting a 4-hour walk along the route of the Morris Canal from Waterloo Village west along the shore of Saxton Lake (Musconetcong River) on Sunday, August 11. Shippenport & Lake Hopatcong Feeder Hike: The Canal Society of New Jersey is hosting a moderate hike on Saturday, September 28 that will explore the inclined plane in Shippenport as well as the forge and sawmill sites. Following the hike, participants can take a short drive to Hopatcong State Park to visit the Lake Hopatcong HIstorical Museum and walk the Morris Canal Feeder towpath.
